Benamôr was founded in Lisbon in 1925 by a mysterious pharmacist who created miraculous ointments in his laboratory at Campo Grande nº189. His handmade beauty recipes were based on unique perfumes and natural ingredients grown under the sun of Portugal: lemon, rose, aloe vera or almond oil. Packed in adorable Art Deco tubes, it was an instant hit, and all the Lisbon Belles were hooked, including Queen Amélie herself.
Benamôr has spawned some of Portugal's cult beauty recipes, such as Créme de Rosto, the miracle face cream - whose rose extract instantly gives a woman a glow - and remains unchanged so far. Alantoíne hand cream and Bronzaline were also among the most sought after creations.
Today Benamôr remains one of Portugal's most loved beauty brands spreading its delicious beauty recipes all over the world.
